Terms of use

These terms of use set out how IRD makes the Site and its services available to users, and how users access and use them. Accessing the Site means accepting these terms. IRD may change them at any time.

Access to the Site

The Site is free to access for anyone with an Internet connection. Access costs (equipment, connection) are borne by the user. For maintenance or other reasons, the publisher may interrupt or suspend access to the Site without notice or justification.

Intellectual property

IRD is the exclusive owner of, or has obtained the necessary authorisations for, all intellectual property rights in the structure and content of the Site. Trademarks, logos, signs and other content on the Site are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code, in particular by copyright. Rights granted to users imply no transfer of ownership.

Any reproduction, publication or copy of the content requires the publisher’s prior permission. Any commercial use of the content is prohibited. Users undertake to respect IRD’s intellectual property rights and to report without delay any infringement they become aware of.

Liability and force majeure

The sources of the information on the Site are deemed reliable, but their reliability is not guaranteed. Information is provided for information purposes only: users are solely responsible for how they use it. The publisher cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure or the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party.

Personal data

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in visitors' browsers. To measure traffic, each page view adds one line to the server log: date and time, page viewed, language and the name of the referring site. IP addresses are not recorded in this log and the server keeps no general access log. Only the server's technical error log may contain an IP address when an error occurs. “Do Not Track” requests are honoured. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which passes the visitor's IP address to Google.

Messages sent with the contact form are forwarded by email to the network coordinator. They are not stored on the server.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and the content of the Site are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute over their interpretation or performance falls under the competent French courts. The French version prevails.
